Red Bull Air Race Rovinj

It is our great pleasure to announce that the Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2014 will take place in Rovinj on April 12/13. For the first time in its history, the new European series brings this fastest aviation competition to Croatia, Rovinj.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship gathers the world’s top pilots who combine speed, precision and skill to navigate fast, maneuverable planes between 25 m high pylons (air gates).

The race track in Rovinj will extend along the northern coast of the town, in the immediate vicinity of the old town center, thus ensuring the race a spectacular background. Thousands of visitors will have a chance to experience yet unparalleled air spectacle in Croatia. The organizers are announcing that, along with Britain’s Paul Bonhomme who will be looking to win his third consecutive championship title this year, there will be 11 other world’s top pilots from nine other countries fighting for the title.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2014 kick-off event will traditionally take place in Abu Dhabi and, after its second stop in Rovinj, the race will move to Malaysia, Poland, Great Britain, the United States and China.
